Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?

What personal data we process and why?

We may collect personal data from you for the following reasons:

  1.   Your contact details, payment information and technical suitability data

If you purchase a product or service from us or interact with us with a view to purchasing a product or service, we need to collect certain data to assess technical suitability, to take payment and to arrange for installation. This will include your name, address, telephone number, email address and payment details and may include technical information about your house and electrical system.

We collect this information when you ask us for a quote and (if accepted) in order to fulfil our contract with you to provide products and services.

  1.   Energy consumption, generation and storage data

 Our Powerverse Customer app and platform may be connected to your home’s EV charger, PV panels, battery storage and compatible devices and appliances.  It will collect real-time and device-level energy data such as status, energy consumption, generation and storage data.

This information allows us to provide you with real-time energy monitoring, and abilities to control and optimise the energy flows in your home.

We collect this information as part of the contract we have with you to provide you with products and services.

  1.   Energy tariff data

With your permission we may collect information about the pricing, name and supplier of your energy tariff so that we can calculate, and maximise, the financial savings you generate from your Powerverse products and services.

  1.   Powerverse account creation

When setting up your account on the Powerverse Customer app, we collect personal information such as your name, address and email addressin order to create your account, give you secure access and contact you.

We process this information to be able to perform our contract to provide services to you via the app.

  1.   Submitting a ticket

If you contact us to get support for your Powerverse system, we may ask for information about your system and relevant aspects of your home, such as connected devices or your wifi, so that we can support you accordingly and rectify any issues.

We process this information to facilitate our contract for services with you and to rectify or address any queries/concerns.

  1.   Prospective customer/partner/client

We process contact information such as names, company names, job roles, telephone numbers, email and postal addresses of prospective customers, partners or clients.  We use this information to keep track of our conversations and manage the relationship.

We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and growing our business and when entering into or in the performance of a contract.

  1. Website enquiries

When completing our ‘contact us’ form, you provide us with your name, email address and a message. You may also provide your telephone number if you wish to but it is not mandatory.

We collect this information so that we can reply to your query and process it on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and growing our business.

  1.   Telephone enquiries

When contacting our customer services team, you may be asked for your name, email address, company name, a phone number and the reason for your call. These calls may also be recorded.

We collect this information so that we can respond to your enquiry, for training and monitoring purposes and process it on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating our business and providing customer services.

  1.   Enquires about employment vacancies

We do not stipulate the content of a Curriculum Vitae (CV) or any covering letters and so we will collect the information provided to us as part of an application for work (whether as an employee, worker or contractor). As a minimum we would process your name, email address, postal address and contact numbers. We use this information to assess your application.

We process this information on the basis of our legitimate interests in recruiting talented staff and prior to entering into an employment contract with you.

  1.   Subscribing to our services, publications, or requesting marketing to be sent to you

You may sign up to our services and newsletters by providing your email address through our website or by telephoning us with the request. We send such materials electronically and collect your email address to be able to do so.

We do not sell personal information collected through this site.

You have the right to object to the use of automated decision making.  Whilst the system will make automated decisions to optimise your energy consumption, you can manually intervene with these decisions via the App.

 Your Right to Erasure

You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data. If you do, please provide details of your request to us, using the contact details provided. We will assess your request and if we are able to erase your data we will inform you of the outcome.

Your Right to Data Portability

You have the right to request that data you have provided is sent to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit that data to another organisation. This can be done by providing details of your request to us, using the contact details provided.

Making a complaint

If you wish to make a complaint, please contact our Data Protection Officer. If you are unhappy with the response from the Data Protection Officer then you have the right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority.  We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK but you may also complain to a Supervisory Authority in your country of residence.

When we make changes to this Policy or the way in which we process your personal data, we will draw your attention to this either through updates to this Policy on our website, through our service lines or by another means of communication such as email.
